Justin was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana during the 188th celebration of Bastille Day. After graduating from Indiana University in 2002 where he studied fine art and digital media, he worked in Chicago as a graphic designer for the motion and interactive design industries. In 2004 he was accepted into the JET Programme and set off to rural Japan with his family to teach English and continue practicing freelance design.
